Angie Matarangas, 95, Dumont Resident

DUMONT, N.J. -- Angie Matarangas, of Dumont, died on Monday, Feb 20. She was 95.

Born in New York City, Matarangas was a sales representative at Scholastic Magazine of Englewood Cliffs for many years. She retired in 1985.

She was a member of St. Anthony's Women's Guild, and the Cresskill and Dumont Senior Citizens.

Matarangas is survived by her sons, Barry, and Dennis and his wife Vincenza, and grandchildren, Alexis Allegra, Anthony, Nicholas, Christopher, Alexander and Allegra Matarangas.

She was preceded by her parents, Varvaris and Erato Vlasopoulos. 

Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m., with the Trisagion between 5-5:30 p.m., on Thursday, Feb. 23, at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Ave., in Dumont. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at St. Anthony's Greek Orthodox Church, in Bergenfield. Interment will follow, at George Washington Memorial Park, in Paramus.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Anthony's Greek Orthodox Church, 385 Ivy Lane, Bergenfield, NJ 07621.
